2013 is looking rosy for reigning queen of prep Tory Burch. On New Year’s Day, news broke that she had settled the seemingly never-ending legal battle royal with ex-husband Chris Burch. And today, Forbes announced that this very settlement—or, specifically, Chris Burch’s move to sell his 28.3% stake in Tory Burch LLC—has helped make Ms. Burch a Billionairess. According to Forbes, Tory’s stake in her company is now worth at least one billion dollars (or, if you’re tabulating in Burchier ways, think about 5,128,205 pairs of Revas). The Upper East Side favorite will join the likes of Oprah Winfrey and Meg Whitman on the 2013 Forbes World’s Billionaires list, out this March.
