“When the Equipment trend was raging, I was still living in Corsica and I don’t think any store was carrying them. Mostly, I would read about them in magazines and totally fantasize about the understated luxury of the shirts. My then boyfriend, who was living in Paris at that time, brought one back to me,” Garance Doré tells Style.com of her first Equipment shirt. “Wearing it made me feel like the coolest girl in town.” And it’s still the coolest girls in town who are wearing the must-have blouses by the label. For her latest project, Doré worked with seven fashion tastemakers, including Taylor Tomasi Hill, Caroline Issa, and Style.com’s Marina Larroude, and photographed them wearing their favorite Equipment shirt from the Fall collection. “I mostly chose friends who wear the shirts in their everyday lives, and asked them to style it their way,” explains Doré.
