Fashion critic Robin Givhan will leave her post at Newsweek/The Daily Beast at the end of the year, Daily Intel is reporting , one of a number of staffers who were laid off from or voluntarily departed the outlet this week. Givhan told the blog that she’s planning to finish working on a book about the Grand Divertissement à Versailles, the historic 1973 fashion show that served as a coming-out party for both American designers and African-American models , and search for a new job. Givhan joined Tina Brown’s enterprise from the The Washington Post, where she earned a Pulitzer Prize for her criticism.
