With their budding high-end designer dress and accessory rental service RentTheRunway.com, Jennifer Hyman and Jenny Fleiss have made runway clothes a reality for the masses. The duo that has been providing women across the U.S. with that “Cinderella-for-the-night experience” has brought the e-service to the next level with their new 250-square-foot West Village showroom. Just opened this week, the showroom offers customers the opportunity to sort through more than 200 dresses by designers like Oscar de la Renta, Versace, and Prabal Gurung with the help of a stylist at their side (at no extra cost). “Personal stylists have been reserved for the very wealthy and VIPs in the past, and Rent the Runway thinks that everyone deserves a stylist experience to look their best around the moments that matter to them,” Hyman tells Style.com. Will RTR be bringing the same sort of luxuries to its fans in other cities? “While there are no immediate future plans for showroom expansion, we are always looking to new ways of bringing women accessibility to luxury fashion, and nothing is off the table,” says Hyman. Here, Style.com has a first look inside the space.
