Help Michael Kors Cure Hunger
Oct 16th 2013, 11:00, by Katharine K. Zarrella

Last January, Michael Kors partnered with the United Nations World Food Programme to further his longstanding effort to alleviate the international hunger crisis. Indeed, that’s no small goal—but Kors is dead set on achieving it. “Hunger is a solvable problem, but in order to solve it, we need everyone in the world to be aware of it,” the designer told Style.com. Today is World Food Day, and in order to help spread the word, Kors is launching a new project under his Watch Hunger Stop initiative. In addition to asking shoppers donate to the WFP after making purchases at Michael Kors stores, and releasing his 100 Series watch—each sale of which will help feed 100 children—Kors has whipped up a series of Watch Hunger Stop shirts. The tees will be given away outside Michael Kors retail locations in New York, Berlin, Rio de Janeiro, Tokyo, and Hong Kong, and recipients are encouraged to go into photo booths at participating stores and strike a pose. The resulting snaps will be streamed all day on billboards in Times Square, WatchHungerStop.com, social media outlets, and right here on Style.com. Kors added, “From the billboards to the store events, everything is aimed at engaging and educating our fans—to show them that if we all do a little, we can make a big difference.”
