In case it wasn’t clear after Raf Simons’ first couture collection last year, Dior kind of has a thing for gardens. Case in point: The house’s latest film, which, debuting exclusively above, is actually the sequel to last year’s Secret Garden short. Lensed by Inez & Vinoodh and set to some haunting (but still dance-inducing) Depeche Mode, the mini-movie stars Daria Strokous as a reincarnation of Marie Antoinette. Filmed at Versailles, the short shows Strokous leaping through the palace, creeping through a forest, and frolicking at some kind of evil, enchanted garden party. Considering the model was filmed on location at the decadent queen’s abode, decked from head to toe in Dior’s Fall ’13 wares, we can’t imagine it was too hard for her to get into character.
