Label: Mathieu Mirano
Need to Know: Young designer Mathieu Mirano came by the Style.com offices to give us a preview of his third collection to date, and we were immediately drawn to his fur pieces. The beaver zip-up jacket was a dream. The fox cutout coats were showstoppers, and his wool miniskirt feels like a winter essential. Mirano’s strict palette of blush and black made a strong impact. And with so many luxe materials (like chain mail, leather, and georgette), the collection seemed rich and decadent. Even basics looked special. It will be interesting to see how the designer translates his affinity for texture to Spring fabrics next season.
