With all this talk about fashion week (NYFW kicks off tomorrow), it’s easy to forget that Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. But thanks to Surf Collective NYC, those of us who need to send love notes on the fly are covered. This year, the surf-themed fashion and culture group has teamed up with Waves for Water, a nonprofit organization that provides clean water solutions to communities around the globe. The resulting project is “Love 4 Relief”—a collection of clever e-cards with lovey-dovey water-themed messages. When sending the notes—which are all designed by creative surfers, such as fashion designers Heidi Merrick and Rogan Gregory, graphic artist Mr. Furious, photographer Michael Halsband, and more—you can make a donation to Waves for Water’s Sandy Relief initiative in the name of the recipient. How’s that for a feel-good gift? The cards, each of which can be personalized, can be ordered, from today, on Surf Collective NYC’s Web site, and will be delivered promptly to their designated sweethearts on February 14.
