Like many events in the past week, David Yurman’s summer soirée last night was at risk of being a bit of dud thanks to the wet weather. But the rainstorms earlier in the day didn’t seem to have Yurman fretting in the slightest about the fate of his annual rooftop party at his downtown New York headquarters. As he came out of his office to join the crowd, Yurman (pictured, left) said, “We should be fine. I’m going to go on up and see what it’s like, the weather is normally so nice.”

Before making their way upstairs to take in the sweeping views of the city, guests (including Carine Roitfeld and Stephen Baldwin) circled the room to check out the jeweler’s latest collection. “I love the big cuffs and the look of the new collection. There is something really Saint-Tropez about it—I idolize David Yurman,” said Nicole Trunfio (pictured, right), who revealed she has been busy for the past year and a half creating her own jewelry line, set to launch next month. “We are just doing the finishing touches now. The staple piece is like a mix between the Cartier Love bracelet and the Pandora. When I first drew it up, they said it was impossible and would never work. We have had to do it over five times now!” she explained.

Though there were plenty of sparkling baubles on show last night, both in the glass cases and on the partygoers, even Yurman was quick to highlight the real gem of the night: “Why talk about jewelry? Let’s talk about Gisele.” Though the supe (who is reportedly expecting another child) was not on hand, images of her Fall ad campaign for the label were everywhere, along with an accompanying video that made its official debut at the party. “I have to say, some of these images might be in my top ten favorites out of all the campaigns we have done in the past 11 years,” he told Style.com. “In the middle of the second day of the shoot, her husband shows up with the two kids and the dogs. I talked to Tom Brady and I said, ‘You know, I am from New York, what happened in that game and what do you guys call the Giants these days?’” Brady’s response, according to Yurman: “The Bums, like the Brooklyn Bums.”
