Luxury leather goods specialist Smythson has been outfitting the likes of Grace Kelly and the Indian maharajas since the early 1900s, and it remains a go-to favorite within the style set. To celebrate its 125th anniversary, Smythson teamed up with a host of international artists, including Carter Peabody and Matthew Donaldson, on a series of short films. Also a part of the anniversary year is a newly revamped New Bond Street flagship store, opening Monday.

“The films are designed to capture the essence of Smythson’s core values by looking to the future with a celebration of our past,” Smythson CEO Andy Janowski tells Style.com. “The first chapter opens with a journey into the heart of Smythson’s craftsmanship and delivers a rich, sensory experience of the brand. More films will follow before the end of the year, including the unveiling of our two new icons.” See the first film in the series, directed by Peabody, exclusively on Style.com (above) before it hits the brand’s Web site (Smythson.com) next week. As for the next film, it will debut the new Smythson anniversary handbags.
