Most of Europe is out on summer holiday right now, but that doesn’t mean planning for the upcoming fashion weeks isn’t already in full force. The Camera della Moda has released its September fashion week calendar for Milan and, according to a report published by La Repubblica and cited by WWD, Jil Sander is not on it. The designer (pictured), who announced her return to the helm of her namesake label back in February, will reportedly do two independent shows this season instead. When? That’s the million-euro question at the moment. At present, most shows in Milan are crowded into the few days between September 19 and 23, out of fear that buyers and editors will head to Paris before the official end of the Italian shows on the 25th.
